If you're considering buying a hot tub this year, you may already be looking at the different options available to you. With so much information out there, it's often difficult to know what is the best decision for you. Inflatable hot tubs have become increasingly popular in recent years as a cheaper alternative to solid frame hot tubs. As a result, we are often asked if we sell them.
The short answer is no. We have never sold inflatable spas or intend to do so. In fact, many of our customers began their hot tub journey with an inflatable hot tub and over time have upgraded to a Style Spa. Whilst the much lower price can be appealing, there are several downsides to inflatable spas;
Unlike solid frame hot tubs which have molded seating or lounge areas, inflatable spas do not have this feature. This means that you have to crouch or prop yourself up using the opposite side of the tub which ultimately will not be as comfortable.
You lose far more heat from an inflatable hot tub
Due to the materials they're built from and the power restrictions, it's much more difficult for an inflatable hot tub to reach a high temperature. This means that unlike a solid frame hot tub, they are not really suitable for use all year round.
Inflatable hot tubs lack features
Whereas solid frame hot tubs usually come with a variety of features including different jet formations, lights and sound systems, inflatable spas are a lot more basic in design.
Solid frame hot tubs offer a wealth of hydrotherapy benefits which can improve both physical and mental health. Due to the lack of design features, you will not experience this with an inflatable hot tub.
A well maintained solid frame hot tub should provide you with many years of enjoyment. There's nothing to say you won't get plenty of use out of an inflatable spa too, however, the quality of the parts and materials will not be the same.
Ultimately there is no real comparison between the two types of hot tubs ans it is very much a case of "you get what you pay for". As mentioned earlier, inflatable hot tubs usually serve as an introduction to hot tubbing and many people eventually decide to upgrade.
At Style Spas, you will only find solid frame hot tubs made from the highest quality materials and built to the highest standard. All are available with 0% finance.
Hot tubs offer a range of health and wellbeing benefits, so be sure to incorporate it into your daily routine to get the most out of it.
You may not realise it, but where you position your hot tub is actually a very important consideration. The correct positioning will not only ensure you get the most use out of your hot tub but also make it easier to maintain.
One of the biggest concerns for people considering buying a hot tub is the maintenance. In reality, if you keep on top of it, keeping a hot tub in tip top condition requires minimal effort.
We all know that lack of sleep can leave us feeling groggy, lethargic and unfocused, especially if it's a regular occurrence. A long soak in a hot tub can drastically improve the quality of your sleep thanks to the soothing benefits of warm water.
We all know how important it is to keep our bodies hydrated and conversely, the dangers of dehydration. If you're using a hot tub, it's important to take extra care to ensure that you stay hydrated.
The market is currently flooded with budget-priced inflatable hot tubs and while the price is appealing, there is really no comparison between an inflatable spa and a solid frame one. Style Spas have designed a great value foam spa which has similarities to an inflatable spa but with a higher specification. Find out how the Lifestyle Fun Spa offers a great introduction to those new to hot tubbing.
